How Colombians live the passion of soccer!

Santa Fé (one of Bogotá's soccer teams) fans celebrate victory!

50 °F

One of the reasons why I love being Colombian is that we celebrate everything. Happiness and party-spirit just runs through our blood. Today, the capital city of Colombia is celebrating the triumph of Santa Fé (one of Bogotá's soccer teams). As soon as the game ended, you could hear people screaming of happiness, fireworks, and tons of fans walking out in the streets with flags of their team, regardless of the cold weather at night. From where I'm living, I can see how cars go all around the city with big flags and hitting their horns, people screaming '¡SANTA FÉ!". I also turned on the tv and saw that the fans of the other team, instead of pitting themselves for the lost, they are also celebrating because they got second place. This is Colombia, we just can't help but celebrate everything! This 'craziness' is expected to go probably after midnight, but I personally love it. It makes me feel happy. It makes me feel alive.
